IOT & EDGE SYSTEMS ENGINEER (M/W/D)

Full-time or part-time from 20 hours per week | Vienna, hybrid

You bring sensors, control systems and software together.

We are looking for a pragmatic and detail-oriented engineer who understands our IoT boxes from the control cabinet to the dashboard – including commissioning, Python on Linux, control logic and security in real-world installations.

Your responsibilities

• Commissioning sensors, actuators and gateways remotely and on-site

• Developing Python tools for data acquisition loops, controllers, watchdogs and operator interfaces

• Managing the Linux environment of our IoT boxes, including systemd, releases and network configuration

• Transferring tested logic into C++ firmware together with our Lead Engineer

• Supporting field testing and documenting results thoroughly

What you bring

• A background in electrical engineering, mechatronics or computer science – applications from students in their final year are also welcome

• Strong Python and Linux skills, including working in the terminal on remote devices

• Experience with Modbus, RS485 and industrial devices – or the ability to quickly familiarise yourself with new equipment using technical data sheets

• The ability to read C++, use Git and communicate clearly

• German and English language skills

• Residence in Vienna
